Skincare
can be expensive. And usually with skincare, the starting point is the soap,
the usual buy of a consumer.
An
ordinary soap can cost as much as Php 150- 250.00, depending on the soap maker/producer, and
location where it’s bought. Whereas one
can buy a commercial soap in major stores and even neighborhood stores for a
third of a price mentioned.
Is
there really a difference for those who doesn't want to make a fuss out of the
brand or the soap ingredients?
As a soap buyer, it's not really a
big issue because soaps are generally intended for cleansing. But to a skincare enthusiast, the ingredients
matter. Because using soaps made from
nature can be more beneficial in the long run.
Below is a comparison of how commercial soaps
differ from natural soaps.
Commercial
soaps are:
o
More
accessible. You can buy this kind of soap anywhere, anytime.
o
Affordable. A fraction of a cost of organic,
or natural soaps can make a lot of different in the purchasing decision of a
consumer.
o
Variety
of choices. With commercial soaps you have plenty of
options. You can pick those with whitening, or moisturizing benefits, etc.
And
the variants are more pronounced and eclectic.
Natural soaps:
o
Have
selective ingredients. It's ingredients can be so discriminating that you can find these only in natural
soaps. Natural soap products can have
floral-based, skincare-focused ingredients. It can even use a combination of
ingredients to give the best effect on skin.
o
Limited
availability. When one runs out of natural soaps, one has to
go to the specific store where it can be bought. Locally these are available in specialty stores or shops.
o
Skincare
benefits can be seen and observed. The effects of natural soaps are more
immediate and can be seen by a consumer.
It's really about the preferences of a soap buyer, whether to choose commercial or natural soaps. But a skincare enthusiast can’t really tell the
difference until one uses both products regularly.

What
do you think is more important, skin
care or makeup in one’s every day beauty items?
