In an effort to try out new products that are labelled gentle on skin, I tried Human Nature's Baby lotion in 190 ml bottle.
It is marketed as a "natural nourishment for baby skin", hence I have high expectations of it as an amiable choice for lotion.
It is made by Human Nature, a local brand of personal care and cosmetic line which takes pride in having natural ingredients in their items.
Their product labels declare their goods as having no mineral oil, no parabens or synthetic fragrances or other harmful chemicals. Now who would not want that for a usual product?
Given the increased awareness in cosmetic safety recently (I'm not a natural cosmetic advocate, I am for the" best of both worlds" practical and aesthetic use of both science and nature in our daily care necessities), I have been wanting to try this brand, to see if natural products can be an alternative buy.
And it was, and made a good first impression upon first try.
The lotion comes in lightweight cream. It smells reminiscent of another popular baby powder brand.
Upon checking on the product details on Human Nature's website (www.humannature.com), the scent is actually a blend of lavender and chamomile.
These are familiar scents that are pleasant and gives the baby lotion a calming fragrance.
Meanwhile the feel of the lotion is almost liquidy light, white consistency.
It does not come flimsy or sticky, no greasy effect after application.
The moisturizing benefits are immediately evident as I tried the product on skin which felt supple and smooth, in areas where I applied Human Nature baby lotion.
It is mild, and cool. It felt comfortable and I assumed it would also be nice for a child's use and more conducive to try before bedtime.
I did apply it on my child, his first try at lotion. It is a good mommy routine coupled with a good massage as it can make an active child relax and set the mood for sleep with its cooling scent.
To compare it with other lotion, this specific product does not brag anything other than being
natural. And for me, this is more than good enough.
Its ingredients include sunflower oil, avocado oil, aloe vera and natural glycerin. It is hypoallergenic and not tested on animals.
It can be bought in leading department stores' grocery section and kiosks.
It is affordably priced than other imported baby lotion.
What makes it a must try for mommies looking for options, is its quality and brand competitiveness against other established baby care brands.
