I realized of late it is futile to have a skin care routine if one won't include a sunblock in her/his daily staple.
One thing, sunblock can be a first line of defense against the sun. Not putting on a sunscreen everytime one goes out, is equal to wasting money in using those makeup or skincare products.
Really anyone from working professionals to stay at home moms, dads and yes kids alike should have a good sunscreen that suits their skin.
One that can perhaps do the job of not only protecting the skin but also prevent one from getting sunspots.
So why avoid putting on a sunblock early on in life? Initially for me the heavy formulas of sunblock is one reason.
It sticks on my skin in pasty consistency and also leaves a white cast that's visible enough to be noticed. And on regular use, not when your at the beach, this can actually be a turn-off.
I've tried many sunblocks that give high SPF protection but my impressions of them we're not as enticing. Either they felt sticky, or they smell like an unpleasant chemical.
So for the longest time I've only used a product with a low SPF since it feels comfortable. It's also water-based which doesn't make me feel uncomfortable.
But recently I finally tried Belo's sunblock with 40SPF. I've been wanting to try Belo's sunblock line but really the only reason I didn't right away is its price ( its above Php400.)
That's a huge up from my current brand which only costs Php 120 plus, albeit with low SPF.
And I'm glad I tried Belo's. It's just like my old favorite, it's light and gentle on skin.
It doesn't feel sticky and it blends well with my other makeup products without making my makeup application cakey.
Now that's a good try for an expensive sunblock lotion.
Given the weather locally, it's quite wise already to invest in a good sunblock.
Hopefully this first impression continues. I'd like to know as well if it makes good its product claim that it has anti-ageing ingredients to protect one from getting those signs of ageing--wrinkles, sunspots etc.
Not that looking old is actually avoidable. I think that's improbable. Just in case Belo's worth a try for moms who want to take care of themselves more.
What's your thought moms on this one? Can you forego with using a sunblock in your daily routine?
